Thor, heartbroken over his father's disapproval of Jane Foster, is driven from Asgard by Heimdall. Furthermore, a displeased Odin strips Thor of half his power. Loki seizes this opportunity and reaches into the future to pit Zarrko against Thor. Thor is forced to pledge his servitude to Zarrko to avoid the destruction of the 20th century.
