Submariner and Diane Arliss nurse Lady Dorma back to health. Namor tells of another woman he loved, Betty Dean, whom he met decades ago and had prompted him to fight against the Nazis in WW2. Meanwhile, the Thing is hired to deliver Destiny's Helmet of Power to Washington and Namor intercepts him because he doesn't want anyone to use it. Their battle rages on until an older Betty Dean appeals to Namor. Sub-Mariner catches the Thing off guard and flees with the helmet.
