The Silver Surfer, desperate to breach the barrier that confines him to the Earth, travels to the future and discovers that the galaxy has been ravaged. The Silver Surfer learns of the Overlord and how he conquered the universe. He decides to engage the Overlord, but falls to the Overlord's superior power. He escapes and travel back to the past and prevents the accident that would have created the Overlord.
