Count Nefaria, head of the Maggia crime empire, makes a bold move to take out the Avengers. He subdues them with Time Transcender Beams and uses their images to threaten the Pentagon. The Avengers awaken to a hostile U.S. army and defeat Nefaria to prove their innocence. The Wasp is injured by a stray bullet.
