"The Secret of the Golden Thunderbolts" - 13 pages
Hal Jordan is approached by a strange man, Telle-Teg, claiming to be from an anti-matter universe call Qward. He barely has enough time to change into his costume and recharge his ring before confronting a Destroyer sent to kill Telle Teg. Unfortunately, the Destroyer succeeds, but Green Lantern travels over to Qward and rescues Telle Teg's compatriots. He does learn that the Weaponers of Qward are interested in his ring battery.

Hal comes to the rescue of one of his mechanics, an Inuit named Pieface, as he has part of a map stolen from him. Green Lantern also lends a hand and together they travel up to Alaska in search of a gold mine found by Pieface's father which he and his partner marked on that map. They come across the thugs who stole the map and, even though his power ring is drained, Green Lantern takes them down. However, Pieface puts two-and-two together and figures out that Hal Jordan is Green Lantern. Hal decides he can trust Pieface with his greatest secret.
